Rescuers are making sure that the Epiphany holiday in Ternopil Oblast passes without extraordinary events
On January 19, Ukraine celebrates the third and final great holiday of the Christmas-New Year cycle - the Baptism of the Lord.
On the embankment of the Ternopil Pond, on the occasion of the Epiphany, celebrations were held with the participation of the first persons of the city and region, representatives of Christian denominations, residents and guests of the city.
After the festive service and the consecration of the water, everyone who wished had the opportunity to plunge into the ice bath. In order to prevent unpleasant and unforeseen situations during the rite of the water cross, in predetermined places where you can bathe, the employees of the State Emergency Service set up rescue posts and organized the rotation of fire and rescue units on special equipment equipped with means for rescuing people.
