Ternopil: rescuers collected mercury from a broken thermometer

On January 24, at 2:32 p.m., the "101" operational dispatch service received a report that in the city of Ternopil, on the street Ternopilska, a mercury thermometer was broken in the apartment. Two minor children, born in 2010 and 2006, live in the room without their parents.
Arriving at the place of call, the personnel of the rescue unit in respiratory protection devices and with the help of special means mechanically collected mercury, carried out demercurization and ventilation of the room.
